Our Activities

SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS:

Currently, scattered across India, there are 59 Elementary, Middle and High Schools under TEACH International sponsorship program. All these schools are operated by individuals who received financial support in the purchase of land and for the construction of educational institutions. Each school is expected to carry the individual sponsors and TEACH International charity’s name on all advertisements and bill boards. The day to day administration of each school is carried out by the head of the institution.

HIGHER EDUCATIONAL SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS:

As we do not operate any colleges of our own we sponsor young men and women for higher education through Nursing Schools, Colleges and Professional Trade Training School. Currently we have students studying at the following higher learning institutions:

• Spicer Memorial College, Poona, India

• Lowry Memorial College, Karnataka, India

• Nightingale School of Nursing, Karnataka, India

• Bharti School of Nursing, Karnataka, India

• Priyadershini College of Nursing, Andhra Pradesh, India

• Kasturba School of Nursing, Andhra Pradesh, India

• SDA Nursing School, Kerala, India.

COMPUTER TRAINING PROGRAM:

Wyn Stevens Foundations and TI has established a Computer Training Institute in the state of Manipur to serve the needs of TEACH School students finishing high school. We provide two year computer diploma program in hardware and soft ware training which can lead to good paying jobs.
Wyn Stevens Computer Training Institute also provides free community Internet facilities to those in need to send and receive E mails. Also assist college and high school students to search and collect information to complete home work assignments and projects.


SMALL BUSINESS LOANS AND GRANTS:

To help impoverished families, T I has established a program called WEEP (Women Employment and Empowerment Program). WEEP assist families in need of small grants and loans to start home based business to generate resources to overcome poverty.  The outcome of T I small grants and loan investments has exceeded our expectations resulting in the creation of self sufficient families.  Now these families are able to send their children to TEACH Schools and other institutions. And the empowerment also put them in a position to send their sons and daughters through professional educational institutions.  We will do anything and everything under our disposal to assist

People to break the cycle of dependency and poverty in their lives and we have proven track record of hundreds of families that received our assistance and has succeeded in life.
